The 6th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM 2015), which was held from 9th to 12th September 2015 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, attracted many visitors and exhibitors from all over the country as well as from foreign countries. Themed “Powering the Green Economy”, IGEM 2015 was organised by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) and co-organised by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTech Malaysia).

The event has, since 2010, generated over RM6 billion in green business leads and has spurred the growth of the green technology sector within Malaysia and further afield through cross-country promotion and dialogues. The four-day event featured exhibits that strategically focused on the green technology sectors including the Green Financing Forum, which is expected to create discourse centering on policies and financial instruments crucial to unlocking the potential growth of the green sector.

The Mun Hean Booth @ IGEM 2015

Mun Hean is proud to continue its participation in the IGEM 2015 exhibition in which Mun Hean had participated since 2012. Mun Hean’s booth was located at Lot 1412 in Hall 1. The booth was designed incorporating elements from our corporate identity such as the red, white and black indicating our corporate colours with our SEMS+ logo clearly seen from above.

The highlight for this year’s exhibition is the SEMS+ solution where Mun Hean exhibited its Smart Energy Management System solution. The SEMS+ is a comprehensive power quality and energy management solution to cater for the customer’s every requirement from products to services with the technical expertise provided by Mun Hean from our many years of experience in the field of Power Quality and Energy. Mun Hean showcased its solutions for the various industries such as automotive, industrial and commercial as well as datacenters with each segment highlighting its key issues and solutions. Mun Hean hopes that though the IGEM exhibition, greater awareness into the importance of an energy management system and the solutions Mun Hean is able to offer.

Among the visitors to our booth includes Tan Sri Peter Chin Fah Kui, Chairman of Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTech Malaysia). Among the topics discussed include energy efficiency and energy optimization as an alternative source of energy, relieving dependence on fossil fuel and thus improving our nation’s economy.

Explanation of our SEMS+ solution to Tan Sri Peter Chin

Mun Hean also participated in the Green Talks presentation during the IGEM 2015 where Mr. Chee Kar Chit, Business & Product Development Manager from Mun Hean Singapore provided a talk on the subject of ‘Solving Harmonics pollution in modern facilities’. The talk highlighted on the the use of inverter air-conditioner, LED lighting and computer equipment which introduces significant harmonics pollution to electrical network and can cause increased operating stress to equipment and in some situations catastrophic breakdown or fire can result. The talk also provided information on the use of suitable energy monitoring system and filter solutions which can address the harmonics situation.

Through-out the 4 day event, Mun Hean received good and positive response and valuable feedback from the visitors who are very interested in power quality and energy management as a key requirement in today’s ever changing energy challenges faced. The visitors were impressed with our range of solutions and expertise which gave them the confidence in our offerings.
