UMG 96L – Economical All-in-One Solution

This economical series of digital meter provides equal functionality in lieu of a complete array of analogue devices such as ammeters, voltmeters, power meters (kW, kVA, kvar, cos-phi), kWh-meter, etc, thus offering a significant cost reduction for project planning, mounting, wiring, etc, as compared to the use of analogue meters.

Better and more accurate reading precision as well as storing of maximum and minimum values are further benefits of the UMG 96L

UMG 96S – Little Field Bus Giant

The UMG 96S series meters offer a high accuracy metering with a wide range of capabilities such as harmonics measurements in voltage and current, built-in memory profiles, incorporates digital inputs/outputs for threshold supervision , analogue outputs (4~20mA), etc.

Integrate them with our PSWbasic evaluation software or other energy management and SCADA systems through its various communication interfaces and protocols (Modbus RTU / Interface Profibus) available.

UMG 96RM – Advanced Universal Measuring Devices

The UMG 96RM is an advanced universal measuring device. Available in 6 model variants designed for specific technical functional requirement:

  • UMG 96RM – standard model
  • UMG 96RM-P – 256MB internal memory, Profibus, 4 Digital Inputs
  • UMG 96RM-M – M-Bus

In addition to the large quantity of electrical measurement values, this innovative measurement instrument offers a multitude of additional functions such as the measurement of harmonics up to the 40th order. The continuous sampling with 21.3 kHz enables a detection of the measured values in high resolution and thus provides an effective energy management tool for fault analysis and for monitoring power quality

Power Analyzer
UMG 508 – Power Analyzer with High-Resolution Display

The Power Analyser UMG 508 is an all-rounder for the panel mounted main feeder analyzer. The device is equipped with a colourful graphic display with intuitive user interface. The extensive measuring functions, such as monitoring of short term interruptions, inrush currents, transients, and harmonics up to the 40th order) are unique in this price range.

Extensive communication options, such as RS485 (Modbus RTU, Profibus), Ethernet TCP / IP, BACnet, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, SMTP, SNTP, or DNS allow a cost effective and rapid integration into existing communication structures.

The measurement is made on 4 separate current inputs, either for three phase systems with additional measurements in N or PE or the measurement of 4 individual single-phase loads. The UMG 508 has per each current input a separate energy counter. The very large data memory of 256 MB permits the logging of all readings for months even without intermediate reading.

UMG 604 – Compact Anaylzer with 63th Harmonics Monitoring

The Din-rail mounted UMG 605 power quality analyser is particularly suitable for monitoring power quality according to standards such as the EN 50160. All power quality parameters are collected and analysed e.g. flicker, short-term interruptions with fault recorder function, transients, harmonics up to 63rd and inrush currents etc.

Extensive communication possibilities e.g. RS 485 Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet (TCP/IP), BACnet, http, FTP, SMTP, SNTP, DNS) allow cost effective and rapid integration in existing communication networks. Worldwide access to the embedded web server can be gained through a web browser.

User-specific programs can be created. It is possible to run 7 user programs simultaneously. The GridVis software included in the content of delivery enables simple and complete parameterisation and allows extensive analysis just with the click of a button.

Power Quality Analyzer
UMG 511 – Standard Compliant EN50160 PQ Analyzer with Highres Display

The UMG 511 power quality analyser is particularly suitable for monitoring power quality according to standards such as the EN 50160. All power quality parameters are collected and analysed e.g. flicker, short term interruptions with fault recorder function, transients, harmonics up to the 63rd and inrush currents etc. The backlighted active matrix display (5,7“) of the UMG 511 enables the presentation of measurement values in numerical form, as a bar chart or as a line graph.

Extensive communication possibilities e.g. RS 485 Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet (TCP/IP), BACnet, http, FTP, SMTP, SNTP, DNS … allow cost effective and rapid integration in existing communication networks.

Worldwide access to the embedded web server can be gained through a web browser. The GridVis software included in the content of delivery allows extensive analysis just by the click of a button.

UMG 512 – Class A Power Quality Analyzer for Many Areas of Application

The Janitza UMG 512 is certified Class A PQ analyser. Particularly well suited to the monitoring of power quality in accordance with industry standards, e.g. EN 50160, IEEE519 or EN 61000-2-4. All power quality parameters are recorded and analysed, e.g. flicker, short-time interruptions with fault recorder function, transients, harmonics up to the 63rd order, starting currents, etc. Comprehensive communication options, e.g. Ethernet (TCP/IP) with multi-port access, BACnet, Modbus, Profibus, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP,DNS, etc. enable cost-efficient and rapid integration into existing communication architectures.

The devices’ own web homepages can be accessed from around the globe via a browser. The integrated Jasic® interpreter enables free access to all integrated variables (measured values etc.) through the loadable Jasic® programs. User-specific Jasic®programs can be created, whereby up to 7 can run in parallel. The GridVis®-Basic software included in the scope of delivery allows comprehensive analyses and reports for current PQ standards at the touch of a button.

UMG 20CM – 20 Channels Branch Circuit Current Monitoring Devices with RCM

The UMG 20CM is a specialized analyser designed for detecting fault development and provide early warning to the network operation. Its main feature is the ability to measure low level Residual Current Monitoring “RCM”. Upto 20 circuits can be monitored with a single unit of the UMG 20CM device.

  • Evaluation of residual current between 10mA to 1,000mA with 1mA resolution\
  • Avoidance of costly and hazardous system downtimes; the availability of systems is increased
  • Localisation of individual faulty feeders, reduced work when troubleshooting
  • Early detection of an overloading of the N conductor and critical residual currents, resulting in increased fire safety
  • Through parameterisation of the system in new condition and constant monitoring, all changes to the system state after the point of commissioning can be detected
  • Fulfilment of the safety criteria “RCM residual current monitoring” in data centres
  • Convenient monitoring and parameterisation solution with GridVis® software
  • Operating current acquisition of all relevant consumers as a basis for an energy management system
Portable Network Analyzer
MRG 508/511 – Portable Network Analyzer for Network Data-Logging

Network analysers from the MRG range are intended for fault analysis and cause identification in low voltage systems. Thus, with overloaded capacitors in a reactive power compensation system a long-term harmonics analysis can provide information on whether the overload is perhaps caused by too much noise on the grid (THD-U), for example. However, the recording of load profiles can also play an important role in the new dimensioning of system components or for the negotiation of power supply contracts. Mobile network analysers offer an advantage in particular with sporadic problems or fault analysis or in cases where certain measured values must be even more closely localised. Along with the large number of electrical measured values this range offers a multitude of additional functions such as the saving of minimum and maximum values, operating hours counter, bi-metallic strip function, password protection and much more.

The MRG range is used as a portable measuring device in distribution systems where there are no fixed integrated measurement devices available. These are ideally suited to carrying out mobile measurements, e.g. for the design of reactive power compensation systems, for the determination of load profiles or harmonic analyses of up to 40th (MRG 508) or 63rd (MRG 511) level harmonics. Thanks to the integrated measured value memory it is not necessary to set up additional equipment, such as a laptop or printer, with the measurement device. The evaluation can be carried out conveniently “back at base” on the PC.
