Over 90 participants from Power Utility, Engineering Consultant, Switch Board Manufacturer, Plant Facility Manager and Factory Owners came to this 1 day technical seminar on Power Quality and Solution.

The event was organized by MunHean Myanmar, a subsidiary company of Mun Hean Singapore.

Topic covered the engineering principle of power quality, its impact to tenant and their appliances. Case study on how the increased usage of non-linear loads especially in industrial and commercial users are causing disruption to the user plant and early failure of equipment. In the last section, we introduce power management solution from Janitza and compensation solution from Sinexcel.

Myanmar is seeing challenges from increased power utilization and higher proportion of non-linear appliances used in commercial and industrial plant. It used to be that power availability was the main concern among the larger electrical power users. But with the changing trend, engineers and plant operator are now looking for methods to protect the operation of their business.
